Ardor Child Chains

The child chains have all the features, the smart transaction types, and lightweight contracts.
Child chains are scalable and integrated into the parent chain that processes and secures them.

Permissionless child chain. With unique smart contracts that are not available on any other Ardor child chain. IGNIS is the core transactional token on the Ardor platform. All core features supported, flagship of Jelurida.

The AEUR "stablecoin" from Ardorgate can always be exchanged 1:1 for the Euro through a 3rd party bank, Mister Tango. With AEUR you can transfer money cheaply, crowdfund, trade, or have an ICO in Euro - but decentralized on the Ardor platform.

Understanding Child Chains

"The fundamental concept of the Ardor design is a clean separation of „forging token“ and „transactional token“.
This new flexible architecture allows users to create their own blockchains, customized to fit their needs, while drawing security from the collective eco-system of the global platform".

Child Chains vs. Side Chains

- Security is provided by the Ardor parent chain
- Child chains can access the same global entities, such as assets and currencies;
- Child chain tokens can be securely traded on the blockchain;
- Simple to setup (blockchain development skills not required);
- Multiple features pre-installed (can be disabled on launch if desired).

Ardor Child Chain Listing Process

What is a child chain?

The child chain token is used for both the transfer of value and transaction fee payments. Therefore the end user does not need to own ARDR, actually, a business using the child chain to run a service can choose to pay transaction fees for their customers, and the user will not need to own ANY crypto token to use the service.

Zero-fee Transactions

Child chain fees are paid in the child chain token and goes to the bundler.

Ardor Coin Exchange

Child chain tokens can be traded against each other and against the ARDR parent chain token on Ardor's inbuilt decentralized coin exchange (DEX).

Ardor's Asset Exchange

Assets are global. This means that an asset token which is issued on the IGNIS chain can be traded against any child chain token on the decentralized asset exchange (DEX).
